The Foothills Bicycle Club is a loose association of active senior cyclists who spend the winter season in the Yuma Foothills area. From November through April each winter season we have four scheduled rides per week -- on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
The Sunday and Tuesday rides are shorter and are at a relaxed social pace (average 12-13 mph, 20-25 miles in length). On Thursday and Saturday the rides are usually at a higher pace (13-15 mph) and are longer distance (30-55 miles). The first Saturday of each month is a Century Ride, meaning a ride of either 100 miles or 100 km -- routes will vary based on the weather or the month. Helmets are required on all rides.
All Club rides leave from the Foothills Library in accordance with the club ride calendar which is published monthly (November through April). Ride specifics are detailed on the calendar. Additional ride detail can be obtained by contacting xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or clicking on the contact page on the right side of this page.
The club also maintains a Yahoo Groups site with moderated access for active club members. This site contains emails of club rides and events, a contact listing of all club members, and the current ride calendar. Access to this site can be requested through XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
